Our library is more than just a collection of books. It’s a place where inspiration is alive on every page and in every person. A place where neighbors can connect with each other, kids can explore their passions, and our community can grow in ways we never thought possible. From the local programs we create, to the state awards we have won, the free internet, books, and EBooks we lend to all the people we inspire, every day at the library we’re working to build up our future. Because when it comes right down to it, Ellwood City starts here. What book will inspire you?
The Ellwood City Area Public Library is thrilled to welcome visitors to our beautiful and spacious facility!
We offer comfortable seating areas, in addition to study tables, with handy outlets available for charging your devices.
Visitors are welcome to read daily newspapers and magazines provided at the library. There are also a variety of in-library use reference books, including local yearbooks.
Archived local newspapers are available in digital form for in-library use. Please inquire at the desk.
The children’s area offers quiet play and reading areas. There are toys available for playing at any point the library is open…no need to ask! All children must be supervised for their safety and out of consideration for other visitors. We kindly ask that you tidy up the area whenever your child is done playing.
Community Puzzles: We offer two puzzle areas (in front of the Director’s office and in the teen area) with jigsaw puzzles for the public to work on together. Please let the desk staff know if there are any missing pieces or when a puzzle is completed so a new one can be brought out.
We ask that you refrain from talking on cell phones in the main library, and bring headphones if you would like to access audio on your devices or on our public computers.
Food and drinks are prohibited in the main library. You may leave them at the desk or take them into the meeting room if you are attending a special program.
Restrooms are available in two areas of the library: women’s and men’s restrooms are in the back hallway, and a restroom for our youngest visitors is in the children’s area.
The library meeting room is not available for public use. It is solely used for library conducted or library sponsored programs.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are located throughout the building.
NO SMOKING in any part of the library.
